We had a great Easter weekend! We started it off on Saturday before Easter and went to our church's big Easter Eggstravaganza. It was really fun! There were jumpy houses and slides, pony rides, a mini train, face painting, hotdogs, and of course, an egg hunt! The boys had a blast and the weather was great for it.
Easter Sunday we went to church and then went over to my parents for a big Easter dinner. Adam's parents went too along with a bunch of my family. Missy was in town and Casey and Kim surprised us by coming into town Saturday too. It was great! We had another egg hunt that afternoonand Kim was the winner, finding the golden egg!
Along with all the fun we had, we are really trying to teach the boys the true meaning of Easter. We asked Cole what Easter really means and he said, "It's all about God!". I'm happy to know that he knows it's not all about bunnies and jelly beans! His prayers that weekend included thanking God for Jesus dying on the cross so we can go to Heaven. It makes me proud to know that we're raising our kids to have faith and know the truth! We're so thankful for the sacrifice Jesus made and that he rose from the dead Easter morning to defeat sin and the devil!
