Miscellaneous Happenings...

I haven't posted for a while, first because my camera battery got left at my parent's cabin in McCall for a while which makes it hard to take pictures, and second because life has been happening in all it's usual craziness and I just haven't gotten around to it. I do want to make a habit of posting at least once a month though and I think I completely missed February. So here are a few pictures of the last month and a half to catch up.

We had our annual Bible Study retreat in McCall which was very low key and tons of fun!

COLE:
Cole is as energetic and creative as ever! He has really enjoyed the few days we've been had of sun and "warm" weather. He keeps thinking it's time to go to the water park just because the sun is out. He's really into crafts, building things, and writing letters and words. He can spell COLE, MOM, and DAD. We're working on MASON. He can also write all the letters of the alphabet and loves to help me write my grocery list. Adam and him built a model airplane together and Cole painted it all by himself and did a great job! He rides his scooter or bike any chance he has and is wanting to spend every second possible out in the back yard playing. I feel like he's looking so big and so much older and acting like a big boy now. It makes me proud to see how he's growing into such a sweet, polite, fun-loving kid and sad to think that the past 3 years have zoomed by so quickly.

MASON:

Mason is now 14 months. He's not just walking everywhere but running as he tries to keep up with his big brother. He loves to play ball and have Cole chase him around the island in our kitchen. Anytime we sit down on the couch, he goes and gets a book to bring and grunts at us until we sit him on our laps and read to him.

He is starting to say a few words pretty clearly: Mama, Dada, Papa, Star, Eyes, Nigh-nigh (night night), and No-No.

He says some words that we understand but would have to translate for others: Bup (Cup), Conka (Tonka), shoos (juice).

He also has many other sounds he uses to get people's attention - our favorite being the extremely loud growling yell that he likes to use especially in restaraunts or stores when he feels he's not getting enough attention! We're working on that one:-) He's very snuggly and smiley though and loves to play Patty Cake. He adores our dogs and we have to pay close attention though because he likes to pull ears and poke eyes. Thank goodness for dogs who just lay there and take it! He's a slow teether like Cole was but now has 4 teeth on top and 3 on the bottom. He loves bananas and cheese and has a definite sweet tooth. He is such a darling and I can't imagine life without him!

We're looking forward to spring and warm weather and lots of fun playing outside! It's been a long winter of indoor activities and we're ready to break free!!!
